Dennis Rodman joins Jordan, LeBron, Kobe with record card sale
It’s not unusual to see all-time greats Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant dominating trading card headlines.
Now another surprising NBA legend is joining the hottest market in the hobby.
A Dennis Rodman 1997 Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems PMG Green card sold for a record $348,000 in the May Premier Auction at Fanatics Collect. It is the most expensive Rodman card ever sold.

Rodman, who won five NBA championships with the Detroit Pistons and Jordan’s Chicago Bulls, joined LeBron and Kobe with top-selling cards at Fanatics.
A #1/1 2025 Topps Chrome LeBron Auto Superfractor sold for $1.26 million, while a 2010 Playoff National Treasures Colossal Kobe NBA Logoman Patch Auto netted $660,000. Several other LeBron and Kobe cards also topped six figures.
The top-selling Jordan card was a 2000 Upper Deck Game Jersey Patch 2 Auto card, which sold for $420,000.
The auction also featured two other record sales as a 2025 Topps Chrome Honors Josh Allen MVP Award Gold NFL Shield #1/1 card sold for a record $1.35 million. It is the most expensive Josh Allen card ever sold, the most expensive Buffalo Bills card, and the most expensive NFL card produced in the last five years.
NHL legend Wayne Gretzky also set a record when his 1979 O-Pee-Chee Rookie Auto card sold for $540,000, the most expensive autographed hockey card of all time and the second-most expensive Gretzky card.
