Topps showcases top NBA prospects with launch of Bowman Basketball

Just like the popular Bowman Baseball set, Topps is launching Bowman Basketball to showcase the top NBA prospects and rookies in the league.

For decades, Bowman Baseball has been one of Topps’ most coveted releases, offering baseball card collectors a first look at some of the game’s top MLB prospects.

Now Topps is bringing its prospect-driven brand to basketball with the release of Bowman Basketball, which highlights the next generation of hoops stars.

With 2025-26 Bowman Basketball, Topps is introducing the first dual NCAA/NBA card set, pairing the next wave of NBA stars with the league’s biggest names.

Headlining the prospect checklist are college stars and top NBA prospects AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, Caleb Wilson, Mikel Brown Jr., and Nate Ament, alongside top women’s talent including Madison Booker, Sienna Betts, and Juju Watkins.

Collectors can also chase 2025-26 rookies Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper and Kon Knueppel, along with NBA superstars like LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Cade Cunningham, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

The first Bowman Basketball product features a 200-card base set and a 100-card prospect insert set, including Rookie Red RC cards highlighting the top rookies in the class. Each Hobby Box includes 20 packs, eight cards per pack, and two autographs (one NBA and one NIL). Hobby Boxes retail for $359.99.

The set features a deep lineup of chase cards, including Bowman Sportlights with a minimalist, star-focused design), RetroFractors (a nostalgic twist on Bowman heritage featuring legends who never had 1st Bowman cards), and Anime (high-energy, stylized artwork bringing players to life).

Case hits also include Etched in Glass variations, Crystalized, and Bowman GPK, blending artistry, rarity, and hobby culture.

Standout inserts include prospect-driven sets like Talent Tracker, Gen Next, Very Important Prospects, and Bowman Verified, plus NBA-focused inserts including ROY Favorites, Hobby Stars, and Young Kings.

Autograph cards include Chrome Autographs alongside new designs like Future Script (all-NIL), Buzz Factor Autographs, Opening Statement Signatures, Timeless Touch Signatures, and Bowman Dual Autographs pairing top collegiate talent.

Autograph cards are cornerstone of the release, featuring signatures from top NIL athletes, including Dybantsa, Peterson, Wilson, Watkins, Strong, and first-ever Topps autographs from Cameron and Cayden Boozer.

On the NBA side, collectors can find autographs from such stars as Victor Wembanyama, James, Flagg, and Gilgeous-Alexander, alongside the first Topps autographs of new Topps athlete Anthony Edwards.
