Authentication companies JSA and MeiGray are collaborating to streamline the process for authenticating game-worn and game-used memorabilia.

The partnership will allow dealers and collectors to get both autograph authentication and photo-matching through a single submission process.

Beginning April 16, customers submitting memorabilia through MeiGray’s online submission form can request both MeiGray photo-matching and JSA autograph authentication as part of the same submission. Previously, collectors had to submit items to both companies for authentication.

All items that pass JSA’s authentication process will receive a JSA Letter of Authenticity (LOA). Customers who submit through the new process receive a 10% discount on JSA’s standard rates.

“Collectors who own signed, game-worn memorabilia have traditionally needed to work with separate companies for photo-matching and autograph authentication,” said Barry Meisel, president and CEO of MeiGray. “This collaboration with JSA brings two trusted services together in a way that makes the process simpler and more efficient for collectors and dealers. We’ve long respected JSA’s expertise in autograph authentication, and we’re pleased to offer their services directly through our submission process.”

“Signed game-worn memorabilia represents some of the most desirable material in the hobby, and collectors want confidence in both the autograph and the game use,” said James Spence III, senior vice president of JSA. “MeiGray has built an exceptional reputation for photo-matching, and we’re excited to make it easier for collectors to access JSA authentication alongside their services. This collaboration brings together two leaders in the field and provides collectors with a clear and efficient path to authenticating these items.”

To submit signed game-worn, game-used or game-issued memorabilia, collectors can complete the online submission form on MeiGray’s website and select the “Dual Authentication” tier via Authentication.

MeiGray and JSA services are available for both mail-in submissions and drop-off at MeiGray’s headquarters in Branchburg, N.J.

JSA autograph authentication is available for any signed item submitted for MeiGray photo-matching. JSA’s authentication fees are based on the signer’s name and are in addition to MeiGray’s photo-matching fees.

Autograph grading is also available.
