Shai Gilgeous-Alexander just won his second NBA MVP, cementing his status as one of the league’s all-time greats.
Basketball card collectors can cash in on SGA’s success through the Topps Chrome Basketball MVP Buyback Program, which Topps launched on Monday as SGA and the Oklahoma City Thunder took on Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Finals.
The program allows collectors to redeem eligible 2025-26 Topps Chrome Basketball cards of SGA for store credit at participating hobby shops.

The MVP Buyback Program first debuted with Topps Chrome Baseball, becoming one of the hobby’s most popular activations and driving collector engagement and hobby shop traffic. Previous buyback athletes have included MLB MVPs Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, Ronald Acuña Jr., Bryce Harper, and Mookie Betts. Topps has expanded the program to the NFL, WWE and now the NBA.
Collectors who purchase 2025-26 Topps Chrome Basketball can redeem eligible cards of SGA for instant store credit.
Eligible cards include Topps Chrome Basketball base cards, refractors, and qualifying numbered parallels, including cards numbered /99, /75, /50, /25, /10, and Superfractors.
Eligible card tiers include: base cards $20; refractors $40; numbered cards above /100: $100; numbered cards under /100 $200.
