Sandy Koufax’s 1958 game-used glove sells for $180K at The Memorabilia Network
Sandy Koufax’s 1958 game-used, double-signed glove sold for a record $180,000 in The Memorabilia Network’s “Greats of the Game” auction Wednesday.
The glove Koufax used during his first season with the Los Angeles Dodgers set a record for a Koufax glove. The Herb Score-model, which was authenticated by PSA, was just the seventh game-used Koufax mitt sold. Five previous Koufax gloves have come to market, while a sixth sold to a private buyer.

A ticket to Koufax’s 1955 MLB debut with the Brooklyn Dodgers also set a record, selling for $45,000. The June 24, 1955 stub marks the highest PSA-graded ticket from Koufax’s debut, and the only one both graded and autographed. The Brooklyn-born rookie began his Hall of Fame career against the Milwaukee Braves, tossing two scoreless innings and facing future home run king Hank Aaron.
Also selling during the auction was a Clayton Kershaw game-worn and signed jersey from his 99th career win, which fetched $18,000. Kershaw wore the jersey on April 17, 2015 when he struck out 12 batters over six innings for his first win of the season.
“I am honored to have coordinated the sale of the recently discovered Sandy Koufax glove, as well as the countless other spectacular items from many of sports’ larger-than-life figures,” said Harlan Werner, the founder and CEO of The Memorabilia Network.
