Scottie Pippen Collection with NBA championship jerseys, trophies coming to Sotheby’s
NBA legend Scottie Pippen might be best known as Michael Jordan’s sidekick on the 1990s Chicago Bulls dynasty, but Pippen enjoyed a spectacular career all his own.
Drafted fifth overall in 1987 by the Seattle SuperSonics before a draft night trade to Chicago, Pippen helped lead the Bulls to six NBA championships. A seven-time All-Star and two-time Olympic gold medalist, he also is a two-time inductee into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as both a player and Olympian.
Over the past 30 years, Pippen has assembled an impressive collection of artifacts and memorabilia from his Hall of Fame career. The Scottie Pippen Collection, which features championship jerseys, game-worn sneakers and his six NBA championship trophies, is coming to Sotheby’s March 2-10. Sotheby’s estimates the 50-piece collection to be worth more than $6 million.
“I’ve been so fortunate to have a career filled with unforgettable moments, from winning six NBA championships with the Bulls to be part of the ’92 Dream Team and competing at the highest level with some of the greatest players to grace the court,” Pippen said through Sotheby’s. “Each jersey, sneaker and collectible I’ve kept over the years holds a memory, a feeling, a story of perseverance and teamwork. Now, it feels like the right time to share these pieces and let others carry their stories forward. I’m excited to give fans and collectors the chance to own these special pieces, to connect with the history and memories they represented and to experience a part of the journey I was lucky enough to live.”

Sotheby’s Head of Modern Collectibles Brahm Wachter called the Pippen collection “a 1990s time capsule” that “feels like stepping back into the golden age of basketball.”

• 1996-98 Chicago Bulls NBA Finals jerseys, including his 1998 Last Dance jersey and the 1997 “Flu Game” jersey.
• 1992 NBA Finals jersey.
• University of Central Arkansas jersey.
• 1994-95 game-worn Bulls jerseys.
• 1992 Dream Team jersey and Team USA jacket from gold medal-winning game.
• 1992 Dream Team Air Jordan VII sneakers worn by Jordan and gifted to Pippen.
• 1990 and 1997 NBA All-Star Game jerseys.
• 1994 NBA All-Star Game MVP jersey.
• Complete set of six NBA Championship trophies awarded to Pippen.
• 2010 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame trophy.
• 1994 NBA All-Star MVP trophy.
