As 2025 came to a close, Michael Jordan was still king of the sports card market, producing a big six-figure sale to headline the top eBay sales of the year.

Surprise! Michael Jordan headlines our final Top 10 charts of 2025, placing four items among our Top 10 online auctions, including the top online sale of the year, and three more on our “Next 10” list.

So, 32 years after “his Airness” retired, he’s a more hotly pursued collecting subject than ever.

Here’s the real surprise: Among the seven Jordan cards on our lists, there are no duplicates. They’re all different, from a perfect-10 Fleer rookie that sold for $260,000 to Star cards from both 1984-85 and 1985-86, and from a 9-grade 1997-98 Skybox Jambalaya to two Upper Deck duo cards—one that co-stars LeBron James, the other Kobe Bryant.

A unique Upper Deck signed memorabilia card, “A Piece of History” (which bears a slice of a game-worn Jordan shoe) also made noise, approaching $40,000.

Collectors who may feel priced out of top-condition 1986-87 Fleer Jordan rookies have been branching out to invest in other desirable Jordan cards. And clearly, they’re driving the values of those cards into the stratosphere. Even more clearly, we can’t get enough of basketball’s all-time greatest player.

One entry we haven’t seen in 20-plus years of producing these charts is the colorful 2000 Leaf Certified card featuring a young Tom Brady. At the time, the Patriots’ newly drafted QB was just beginning his amazing journey into the NFL record books.

Brady’s 2000 Leaf Certified card is one any of us could have picked up for under $100  around 25 years ago. Considering the $35,977 price paid on eBay for a PSA-10 grade specimen, it would have been an awesome investment—if only we had a crystal ball on hand. But who knew about Brady’s GOAT future?
