Rare Patrick Mahomes rookie card hits market just ahead of Super Bowl LVII

As Patrick Mahomes leads the Kansas City Chiefs into Super Bowl LVII Sunday, one of the star quarterback’s most rare football cards has hit the market.

A 2017 Panini Contenders Cracked Ice Patrick Mahomes II Rookie Auto card, numbered to /25 and graded PSA 10, highlights the February Premier Auction at PWCC Marketplace.

Adorned with a shimmering silver and gold foil, the Cracked Ice parallel is one of only two copies to earn a PSA Gem Mint 10 grade. Mahomes, who has led the Chiefs to three of the past four Super Bowls, is looking for his second victory in the big game.

PWCC’s February Premier Auction, which runs through Feb. 16, features nearly 200 elite cards and memorabilia across all sports.

Other highlights include:

• A 2009 National Treasures Platinum Stephen Curry Rookie Patch Auto 5/5 BGS 9. One of Curry’s most rare cards, this is just the fourth time it has surfaced at a public auction.

• Signed 1993 Michael Jordan Eastern Conference Finals Game 4 game-worn, photo-matched sneakers. Jordan wore the Nike Air Jordan VIIIs when he scored 54 points in Game 4 to lead the Bulls to its third straight NBA championship.

• 2014 Panini Prizm World Cup Gold Cristiano Ronaldo /10 #161 PSA 10. One of only two PSA 10s in existence.

• 2003 Exquisite Collection Limited Logos LeBron James Rookie Patch Auto /75 PSA 10. One of LeBron’s most rare cards and one of only three PSA 10 copies.

• 2006 Exquisite Collection Michael Jordan & LeBron James Patch Auto /23 BGS 9. One of only three copies graded BGS 9, with none graded higher.

• 1957 Topps Basketball Bob Cousy Rookie #17 PSA 8 NM-MT. From Topps’s first-ever basketball set.

• 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle Rookie #253 PSA 7 NRMT. Fewer than 100 with a higher grade.

• 2018 National Treasures Luka Doncic Rookie Patch Auto /99 #127 BGS 9.5 GEM MINT.

• 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle #311 PSA 5.5 EX+
