More Mickey Mantle cards top Huggins & Scott auction
Cards of New York Yankees legend Mickey Mantle continue to dominate the vintage card market, headlining numerous auctions and commanding strong demand and value throughout the hobby.
Such was the case again in the Winter Auction by Huggins & Scott Auctions. Just like the latest auction by parent company REA, the top-selling cards were Mantle classics as four of the top 10 sales featured The Mick.
The top-selling card was a 1958 Topps #150 card. Graded PSA NM-MT+ 8.5, it sold for $22,800.

The top-selling memorabilia was a Pete Rose Philadelphia Phillies signed game-used home jersey from the team’s 1980 world championship season that sold for $18,000.
“This was another great event that exemplified the incredibly diverse offering our consignors have brought us and it speaks volumes about the strong appetite across every corner of the hobby,” Huggins & Scott Vice President & Director of Consignments Ron Oser said. “It’s always exciting to see strong results among the classics, but we had some great results on other unique items that don’t always get the fanfare they deserve.”
