Caitlin Clark joins Jordan, LeBron, Kobe in Goldin auction with rare basketball memorabilia
Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant are in rare company when it comes to basketball collectibles, with few current or modern stars comparing in terms of demand and value.
But they may soon have a new challenger—WNBA star Caitlin Clark.
Goldin’s June Elite Auction, which runs through June 29, features rare memorabilia from Jordan, James and Bryant. It is also highlighted by a signed 2022 Bowman University rookie card of Clark.
Graded PSA 9, the card shows the former college star and WNBA rookie in her Iowa Hawkeyes jersey. Since being drafted No. 1 overall, Clark has become the face of the WNBA, averaging 15.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.4 assists during her rookie season with the Indiana Fever.
A 1/1 signed Superfractor of the same card, graded PSA 10, sold for $78,000 in January, shattering the record for women basketball cards.
Other auction highlights include:
• 2009 Kobe Bryant official All-Star Game credentials badge. Bryant scored a game-high 27 points in the game to earn co-MVP honors with former teammate Shaquille O’Neal.
• 1985 Upper Deck Prism/Jewel Stickers Michael Jordan card (BGS 8.5) from his rookie season. The rare card is one of only 110 copies made, with only seven known examples graded higher.
• 1990 Michael Jordan game-used, twice-signed, inscribed Chicago Bulls Nike Air Jordan V Sneakers. Jordan wore the sneakers during his 1989-90 season, where he averaged a league-best 33.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 2.8 steals.
• 2017 Game 2 Eastern Conference Semifinals LeBron James game-used Cleveland Cavaliers jersey. James scored 39 points in the game, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the career playoff scoring list.
• Lebron’s game-used 2014 Nike 12 PE from a game in which he recorded a double-double with a team-high 22 points and a game-high 11 assists against the Denver Nuggets.
• 2017 Western Conference Semifinal Game 2 Kevin Durant game-used, signed Golden State Warriors Association Edition Jersey, where KD put up a double-double with a team-high 25 points and 11 rebounds to go along with seven assists in a dominant 132-113 victory.
