Hockey Fans to Flock to Upper Deck’s New Team Canada Set
Upper Deck celebrates that rich history of excellence that is Team Canada in hockey by releasing the 2013 Upper Deck Team Canada Hockey card set featuring an amazing assortment of role players, stars and legends from Canada’s National Teams. The 230-card set will be a “must have” collectible for any hard-core hockey fan.
“It has been our goal to bring fans of Hockey Canada an affordable set with plenty of fun chase elements to it,” said Josh Zusman, Upper Deck’s hockey brand manager. “The 2013 Upper Deck Team Canada Hockey set is the perfect gift for the holidays. Collecting the set is also a great way to learn more about the players and history of Hockey Canada before the next round of international play begins in 2014.”
Collectors can find two autograph cards in every box on average with every third box boasting an additional “Program of Excellence” autograph card.
Approximately 200 Team Canada alumni will have autograph cards in the set making this the largest autograph trading card set ever produced for Hockey Canada. Rare “Black Signature” parallel autograph cards are limited to just five copies, making them highly coveted collectibles. Fans can even find rare one-of-one printing plate cards of the entire base set.
Special trade cards can be found one per case on average that can be redeemed for rare cards of top rookies Nathan MacKinnon and a player to be named later. Also look for super-rare autograph versions of these trade cards!
While Upper Deck has included Team Canada hockey content in previous releases, there has never been such a comprehensive set produced. And this truly is the ultimate Team Canada collection. The 2013 Upper Deck Team Canada trading card product features 24 packs per box, five cards per pack and is currently available at hobby and retail locations exclusively in Canada.
