The following can be placed in the "Why don't more sports card dealers do this?" category.

Dean’s Cards has formed a unique sponsorship with the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame. As many probably found out with yesterday's Opening Day, the Reds Hall of Fame has a historical display of baseball cards from the 19th century to today that came from the Dean’s Cards vintage baseball card collection. In addition, The Reds Hall of Fame has used enlargements of cards from Dean’s Cards in various displays, including a new Joe Morgan exhibit to commemorate the unveiling of his new status later this year.

The Reds Hall of Fame also will be selling vintage cards from the dean's Cards

The HOF also used inventory from Dean's Cards and blew them up for wall displays.

inventory at every home game this season, with proceeds going to the Reds Hall of Fame.

Dean's Cards has also produced a historical, baseball card-styled handout that will be included with every order and also sent to Hall of Fame members. The handout includes a QR code which can be scanned on a Smartphone or tablet to go to an exclusive Reds Hall of Fame page. This page shows other details from the sponsorship, as well

Dean's Cards hopes to take this program to other baseball Halls of Fame, using the same premise to highlight another team's/city's baseball stars.

A handout given with each purchase at the HOF directing customers to Dean's Cards.

This is a great idea from Dean's Cards - they get the word out about their business and products, while also helping the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame. This is a great example how card shops can get involved with professional teams (on any level) in their city.
