One of the greatest things about any holiday season is sticking steadfastly to tried and true traditions that bring joy, rekindle fond memories and make seasonal celebrations special every single time.

So is the case with Panini America’s annual Black Friday set. There’s something comforting — and highly collectible — about the nontraditional memorabilia cards that have become a bona fide Black Friday tradition.

This year, for the second straight season, Black Friday will include a football-only version complete with its own overwrap and the traditional multisport set that includes athletes from the worlds of basketball, baseball, soccer and NASCAR.

Panini America’s 2017 Black Friday memorabilia lineup will incorporate game-used pylons and footballs from Super Bowl LI, jerseys and headbands worn by some of the NBA’s top young players during last summer’s NBA Rookie Photo Shoot, sweat-soaked towels used during the NFLPA Rookie Premiere and the NBA Rookie Photo Shoot, player-worn Santa hats just in time for the holidays and much more.

This year, the set that’s likely to resonate most with collectors is the history-tinted Super Bowl LI tribute to the New England Patriots, although some collectors have developed a sweet spot for the oversized Tools of the Trade cards or the Salute to Service and Santa Hat inserts.

Panini America’s 2017 Black Friday promotion is also brimming with autographs from some of the biggest superstars, legends and rookies from the worlds of baseball, basketball, football, NASCAR and soccer.

Kobe Bryant, Stephen Curry, Aaron Judge, Julio Jones, Pelé, Cristiano Ronaldo, Christian Pulisic, Ken Griffey Jr. and Lonzo Ball are all featured on the 2017 Black Friday autograph checklist — and that’s just the short list. There are plenty more.

Collectors should visit their local hobby shop for additional details on how to get in on Panini America’s Black Friday magic. If there’s not a participating dealer in a collector’s area, they can participate through iCollectPanini.com now while supplies last.
