Super Bowl Rings Shine in Goldin Auctions’ $2M Sale
Five Super Bowl rings available in the 2015 Goldin Auctions Opening Day Auction were among the highest priced items in the auction that closed in the early morning hours of May 10. In addition to setting several record prices, Goldin Auctions generated $2 million in sales from 12,000 bids on 1,400 lots of sports, entertainment and historical memorabilia.
"This was a very fun auction to put together, as it featured some of the most unique sports, entertainment and historical items we have ever offered, and as a result there were hundreds of new bidders," said Ken Goldin, founder of Goldin Auctions. "Having sold more than two dozen Super Bowl Rings in the past two years, it has become apparent to us that this is one of the most vibrant sectors in the industry so we were not surprised that these rings all did so well."
