This hobby is filled with a lot of great regional shows that tend to fly under the radar for some collectors. The Strongsville Show: Ohio Sports Collectors Convention is one of those events, but also one that collectors should make a point to attend.

This year’s show, under the steady hand of Paul Fusco, has a special focus on rare and vintage cards, running from April 15-17 at the Holiday Inn Select in Strongsville, Ohio.
Show hours are 12-8 p.m. on Friday, 10-6 p.m. on Saturday and 10-4 p.m. on Sunday. Show admission is $5 per day, with weekend passes available for $10. Children under 12 are admitted for free. The event is sponsored by Leland’s and Fusco Auctions.

Not only is this a great atmosphere to do some wheeling and dealing in cards, autographs and memorabilia, but the show will also offer an autograph lineup for Saturday and Sunday. Scheduled to appear on Saturday, April 16 will be Max Alvis, Joe Azcue and Tito Francona. Cost is $15 per item for these former Cleveland Indians. On Sunday, April 17, Fair Hooker, Clarence Scott and Thom Darden from the Cleveland Browns will be on hand ($15 per item for each player). Joining them will be Joey Bosa of the Ohio St. Buckeyes. The defensive end is expected to be one of the top picks in the upcoming NFL Draft. Items start at $69 for Bosa.

There will also be onsite autograph authentication provided by JSA, and SGC will provide on-site card grading.
