The August BricolSportsAuction.com auction was filled with an assortment of items, and not one sport dominated over the others. Items from all the major sports were popular with collectors and sold well.

The top selling item in the auction was a hockey item, followed by a football item, a basketball item and then a baseball item. The hockey item was a Mark Messier 1992-93 Rangers game-used jersey (far right) that received 12 bids and sold for $3,001.

The football item was a Steve Largent 1970s Seahawks early career game-used Riddell helmet. The helmet received 22 bids and sold for $2,761.
The basketball item was a Michael Jordan 1992-93 Bulls game-used road jersey (near right). The jersey received 13 bids, and sold for $2,573.
The baseball item was a 1959 Topps Baseball complete set, which received eight bids, and sold for $1,612.

Other highlighted baseball items sold included: an Alex Rodriguez 2004 Yankees game-used road jersey and 2005 pants ($1,540); a Mickey Mantle autographed 1964 World Series program ($1,450); a Derek Jeter 1996-97 Yankees autographed game-used bat ($1,175); a Don Mattingly 1984-85 Yankees game-used bat ($710); a Gary Sheffield 2004 Yankees game-used road jersey and 2005 pants ($700); a Reggie Jackson 1973-75 Athletics game-used bat ($685); a Mike Schmidt 1989 Phillies game-used bat ($644); a Hank Aaron, Sadaharu Oh international home run kings autographed bat ($576); a Tony Gwynn 1986-89 Padres game-used bat ($543); a Ted Williams autographed bat ($532); a Vladimir Guerrero 2002 Expos game-used home jersey ($531); a Red Ruffing autographed ball ($513); a Gil Hodges, Roy Campanella ink signature framed collage ($500); a Bernie Williams 1995 Yankees game-used bat ($483); a Johnny Damon 2004 Red Sox game-used home jersey ($470); a Sammy Sosa autographed ball, bat and card display ($456); and a Terry Francona 1982 Expos game-used home jersey ($411).

Other highlighted football items included: a Jim Thorpe ink signature ($500); an Archie Manning 1970 Ole Miss Rebels autographed Schutt "Throwback" suspension helmet ($300); and a 49ers million dollar backfield autographed throwback suspension style helmet with four signatures ($253).

Other highlighted basketball items included: a Michael Jordan 2001-02 Danbury Mint Upper Deck seven figurine commemorative career set ($195); a Bobby Phills 1995-96 Cavaliers game-used road jersey ($145); and a Derrick Coleman late 1980s Syracuse Orangeman autographed game-used jersey ($133).

Other highlighted hockey items included: a Dave Andreychuk 2003-04 Lightning game-used jersey ($589); a Wayne Gretzky Rangers autographed authentic Upper Deck alternate jersey ($575); an Adam Oates 2003-04 Oilers game-used jersey ($515); a Joe Nieuwendyk 2002-03 Devils game-used road jersey ($468); a Theoren Fleury 1997-98 Flames game-used jersey ($425); a Geoff Sanderson 1995-96 Whalers game-used jersey ($425); and a Gretzky 1995-96 Blues game-used practice jersey ($389).
