Mastro Auctions heads into the fall with an imposing lineup of high-end collecting opportunities on the schedule before the end of 2008. First up is a Classic Collector sale, a live sports auction in New York in early December, followed shortly by a Premier Auction that will close before ringing in the New Year.
“We are especially excited about our “Live Legends” auction at The Sports Museum of America – the new home of the Heisman Trophy – in New York City on Monday, Dec. 8,” said Doug Allen, COO and president of Mastro Auctions. The auction will feature two sessions. The first will focus on “Legends of the Gridiron,” and this portion will take place on the morning of Dec. 8. The second session, “Legends of the Diamond,” will occur in the afternoon on the same day. The two-part auction will include hundreds of artifacts comprising some of the world’s most coveted pieces of vintage football and baseball memorabilia – including a Heisman Trophy.
