Jordan Jersey Leads $2.9 Million Goldin Auctions Sale
In route to setting a few new records, the 2015 Goldin Auctions October Legends & Americana Auction closed with $2.9 million worth of memorabilia from more than 1,500 lots of rare and unique items from such collectible figures as Michael Jordan, Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Star Wars, Michael Jackson and Marvel Comics.
"The constant record prices we have been getting for Michael Jordan premium collectibles in our last few auctions clearly indicates that Jordan is establishing himself as this generation's Babe Ruth," said Ken Goldin, founder of Goldin Auctions. "It's an exciting time to buy and sell Jordan items because both long-time serious collectors and a new wave of younger collectors are building Jordan collections."
