Charity Auction Includes 1993 Blue Jays Watch, Mantle Painting
Frozen Pond has launched its latest charity auction to support the Joe Carter Classic Golf Tournament and other worthwhile causes. This is a “fun” auction, with several conversation pieces and items that are affordable for all collectors and fans.
Up for bid are some amazing, unique and highly desirable items. An original 2008 Tampa Bay Lightning Stanley Cup pendant with a jewel valued at more than $8,000 is the showpiece. Also included is a 1993 Blue Jays Tiffany’s watch presented to team personnel, along with an original Mickey Mantle painting from 1990, signed by “The Mick” himself.
For hockey fans, there is a replica Stanley Cup signed by Wayne Gretzky, as well as a handmade and signed Patrick Roy goalie mask. There is a 1972 Team Russia signed stick and several Team Canada multi-signed Olympic items.
Habs fans will be impressed with a number of multi-signed pieces that include Jean Beliveau and Rocket Richard. Gordie Howe is well represented, and numerous rare autographs from deceased HOFers are also included. A number of player banners from the 2009 Winter Classic and several unique pieces that were once on display at the Hockey Hall of Fame are also up for bid.
Other items include a 1972 Miami Dolphins signed helmet, several Michael Jordan displays, a number of Mike Tyson autographed pieces (including a championship belt), and a Carl Weathers autographed boxing glove as “Apollo Creed.” Hollywood is well represented with signed items from Chevy Chase (as “Fletch” and “Clark Griswold”), Larry Hagman, Roger Moore, Stan Lee, Robin Williams, the Soup Nazi and the cast of Married With Children.
Joe Carter signed items are also abundant. As the driving force behind his namesake golf event, Carter has helped raise more than $1.5 million since the tournament began in 2010.
