West Coast Card Show expecting record crowd for new, revamped event
On the heels of the successful National Sports Collectors Convention, organizers for the 2025 West Coast Card Show are predicting their event will be the largest sports card event in the Western United States—with some massive numbers expected.
For instance: 40,000 attendees, 1,200 vendors and multi-million-dollar sports card collections.
And the West Coast Card Show, scheduled for Aug. 21-24, is rich in National history.
The event will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif., site of the highly successful 1991 NSCC, which reportedly drew more than 100,000 collectors and, until 2023, was considered the biggest and best National ever.
“We provide the greatest experience for card show enthusiasts of all ages, providing memorable experiences for kids, kids events, and a great selection of vendors, dealers and corporate participation, including the top grading companies, auction houses, card shops, etc.,” said Jay Coscolluela, COO for the West Coast Card Show.
“Our main unique feature [is the] four-day limited-edition VIP passes, where you buy a VIP badge and get a mystery pack containing a free Stephen Curry VIP West Coast Card Show exclusive TAG-graded card that serves as your access badge throughout the show.”

The 2025 West Coast Card Show is the third edition and the seventh show for organizers, who formerly ran the Burbank Card Show, which was changed to West Coast Card Show this year.
About 25,000 attended the 2024 show and organizers have more than doubled the show space from 100,000 square-feet to 221,000 square feet.
“We pride ourselves [on] having quality dealers, mostly from out of state and out of the country, with [attendees expected] from Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia,” Coscolluela said.
This year’s event will feature new exhibitors, such as Walmart Collectibles and Vee Friends, alongside established leaders in the industry. The show will feature grading companies, live auction submissions and rare collectibles. At last year’s show, a one-of-a-kind 2024 Topps Chrome Update Rookie Debut Paul Skenes Patch Autograph card was displayed. It later sold for $1.11 million at auction.
“The event isn’t just for serious collectors—there will be something for everyone. From the Kids Cardathon, a fun and engaging activity for younger attendees, to networking opportunities and high-end investments for seasoned collectors, this show has been designed to be a fun, immersive experience for all,” Coscolluela said. “There will be expanded floor space, better food options and ample seating to accommodate the growing crowd.
PSA and Beckett will have a presence at the West Coast Card Show, among others.
“We expect great things from this event. It’s a great opportunity for collectors to buy, sell and trade, as well as an incredible platform for us to connect with sports card fans,” said Ryan Jones, director of marketing and PR for Auction Monthly.
Jay Coscolluela, 49, who lives in Eastvale, Calif., noted the success of the 2025 National in Chicago will help drive his show.
“The hobby is strong and the trajectory will just keep on going,” he said.
The TAG Curry cards will feature four designs made by Ken Karl And Kosco Creatives. There will be a 1/1, cards numbered to /30 and cards numbered to /50.
The show is still working on adding autograph guests, including what Coscolluela called “a couple of prominent signers.”
“We are more known to be a card show. Signers can add value to the experience, but we are all here for the cards,” Coscolluela added.
The West Coast Card Show will feature Artist Avenue, where artists commissioned by card companies will showcase their talents and interact with the audience.
“You will see inventory on the show floor that you won’t see at a regular show,” Coscolluela said. “The West Coast Card Show is just getting started. Our goal is to build one show at a time, connecting all collectors—in the U.S. and around the world.
“Our goal is to make this an unforgettable experience for everyone, whether you are an industry veteran or a first-time visitor; we want to create lasting memories for everyone.”
