Top 75 Topps Baseball cards features MLB legends from Mickey, Willie and Jackie to Judge and Shohei
There have been numerous lists ranking the top baseball cards of all time over the years.
With Topps celebrating the 75th anniversary of Topps Baseball, it presented the perfect opportunity to put together another list from the iconic baseball card maker itself.
2026 Topps Series 1 features cards of the Top 75 Topps Baseball cards of all time, including a ranking of the Top 10. The series is headlined by the “Iconic Topps Buybacks” subset, which features PSA-graded redemptions inserted in all flagship sets in 2026, starting with Series 1. The most iconic card in the set is a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie card valued at six figures.

Topps created the Top 75 set by assembling a panel of industry experts at its New York City headquarters to vote on the top 75 cards. The panel included Topps CEO Mike Mahan; President of Trading Cards David Leiner; Topps SVP of Product Clay Luraschi; MLB historians Noah Garden and John Thorn; longtime collector Dr. Jim Beckett; PSA CEO Nat Turner; and former MLB player Evan Longoria.
Not surprisingly, Shohei Ohtani, MLB’s biggest current star, is featured more than any other player with five cards in the top 75 cards, including his 2018 Bowman rookie card and two 2025 Gold Logoman cards, one which sold for $3 million in December.
MLB legends with three cards in the Top 75 include: Ken Griffey Jr., Aaron Judge, Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle, Jackie Robinson, Roberto Clemente.
Players with two cards include: Derek Jeter, Mike Trout, Bo Jackson, Cal Ripken Jr., Reggie Jackson, Nolan Ryan, and Pete Rose.
