2018 U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Team and Hopefuls celebrates Winter Olympics
To help celebrate the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, Topps will be releasing a U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Team and Hopefuls trading card release in late January.
The release is the only USOC licensed trading card product of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games.
In addition, the release will celebrate the career of skier Lindsey Vonn. Vonn has 130 podium finishes and 77 career wins. She is also one of only two women in history to win four World Cup overall skiing championships.
The base set includes hopefuls spanning both the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic teams. Parallels of the base set include: Bronze, U.S. Flag, Gold, Limited Edition, Autograph, Autograph U.S. Flag, Autograph Gold, and Autograph Limited Edition.
Olympic Champions Autographs are inserted one per case. These autograph cards feature past champions on a patriotic card design. Each card is sequentially numbered. A Gold parallel is numbered to 25, while a Limited Edition parallel is numbered 1/1.
Podium Image Variations feature icons from the base set who have won medals at prior Olympic Winter Games.
The Did You Know? subset is devoted to tidbits behind Olympic Winter Games disciplines, and feature full-bleed photography.
Plenty of memorabilia cards are scheduled to be in the set.
Team USA Memorabilia Pieces showcases standard-sized memorabilia pieces from U.S. hopefuls. USOC Insignia Commemorative Relics feature top Olympic hopefuls with jumbo-sized acrylic USOC badges. Achievement Medallions honor subjects who have achieved noteworthy accomplishments in prior Games with a commemorative jumbo medallion.
Vonn is celebrated in the Lindsey Vonn Career Milestones insert. Two cards are inserted per box. Low-numbered autograph parallels of each card are also included.
