As Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs try to etch their names into NFL history with their third Super Bowl victory Sunday, there is one name that will no doubt be repeated often during Super Bowl LVIII.

No, not Taylor Swift.

Tom Brady, the most successful quarterback in Super Bowl history.

Brady won a record seven Super Bowls, six with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also holds the record with five Super Bowl MVP awards (2002, 2004, 2015, 2017 and 2021).

Brady set another record in Super Bowl XLIX in 2015, throwing four touchdown passes in a 28-24 victory over Seattle. His third TD pass broke Joe Montana’s record of 11 career Super Bowl touchdown passes.

A pair of Wilson footballs Brady threw for TD passes in the 2015 game are up for bid in the 2024 Sports Legends Auction at Gotta Have Rock and Roll (GHRAR). One was caught by tight end Rob Gronkowski, the other by receiver Danny Amendola. The second one has been signed by both Brady and Amendola and opened with a bid of $500,000.

“This lot packs plenty of significance,” said GHRAR President Dylan Kosinski. “It involves record-breaking moments tying together two of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.”

The auction, which runs through Feb. 23, features 480 sports lots, including numerous signed and game-used jerseys and other items across multiple sports, including game-used sneakers worn by Michael Jordan and Shaquille O’Neal from the collections of former NBA players John Salley and Jason Terry.

Also featured are vintage baseballs signed by Babe Ruth and Christy Mathewson; game-used bats from MLB sluggers Mark McGwire and Shohei Ohtani; game-worn soccer jerseys from the late Diego Maradona; and boxing gear signed by Muhammad Ali.

“We are extremely excited about this month's auction,” Kosinski said. “It’s been a pleasure working with both John Salley and Jason Terry to share their personal collections with collectors from around the world. It will be fun to watch as the bidding unfolds.”

Other auction highlights include:

• Babe Ruth single-signed Spalding baseball Circa 1930s (PSA/DNA & JSA). One of several Babe-signed balls listed, Ruth signed the Spalding “Babe Ruth Home Run Special” ball on the sweet spot.
