Pete Rose is best known for his 19-year career in Cincinnati, where he helped lead the Reds to the 1975 and ’76 World Series.

But after the 1978 season, Rose signed as a free agent with the Philadelphia Phillies, where he won a third World Series. In 1979, Rose led the Phillies with a .339 batting average. The next year he hit .282 with a league-high 42 doubles to help lead the Phillies to their first World Series title.

A signed, game-used Phillies jersey Rose wore during the 1980 championship season is up for bid in the Winter Auction at Huggins & Scott Auctions. The jersey has been photo-matched by Sports Investors Authentication and originates from a San Diego Padres executive who received it signed and inscribed as a gift from Rose.
