At age 20, Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history. The auction features the only PSA-certified Type I action shot from his debut, as well as one of two known Type I shots with manager and trainer Cus D'Amato in the locker room. UPDATE: The Type 1 action shot sold for $20,745, a record for Tyson Type 1 photos, while the photo with D'Amato sold for a record $9,760.

The boxing trunks Tyson wore in his first match, and pictured in both photos, were also up for bid, selling for  $71,980.

Jordan and Johnson squared off in the 1991 NBA Finals as Johnson “passed the torch” to the player who would go on to win six NBA championships and become the greatest player of all time. It was Jordan's first NBA Finals and Johnson's last as the Bulls championship dynasty began.

The photo, which shows Jordan guarding Johnson, sold for $22,570.

“We recently sold a Type 1 Photo of Michael Jordan from his first NBA game for $175,000, which was a record-breaking sale and a landmark for the Type 1 photo market,” said Khyber Oser, director of vintage memorabilia and photography at Goldin. “Jordan and Mike Tyson debuted professionally just five months apart from each other and revolutionized their respective sports. When you draw this comparison, these ultra-rare photos from Mike Tyson’s debut match could also potentially set new records.”

The September Elite Auction closed on Sept. 30.
