Michael Jordan’s 1985 broken-foot sneakers, rare LeBron James rookie card highlight Lelands Summer auction
An ultra-rare LeBron James rookie card and Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan 1 sneakers from his 1985 broken-foot game highlight the Lelands 2024 Summer Classic Auction.
The auction, which runs through June 29, also features such unique collectibles as Shaquille O’Neal’s “shoe phone” sneakers, Mickey Mantle’s Texas driver’s license, basketball legend George Mikan’s glasses, Tonya Harding’s costume from the 1994 Olympics, and a Grateful Dead-signed baseball.
The hobby-fresh 2003-04 Exquisite Collection LeBron James Rookie Patch Auto card is numbered #8/23 and graded BGS 7.5 with an auto grade of 10.
Jordan’s game-worn Air Jordan 1 sneakers are from his broken foot game on Oct. 29, 1985 and are believed to be the last pair of original Jordan 1’s Jordan wore in an NBA game.
Jordan missed 64 games with the broken foot but returned in time to help the Bulls sneak into the playoffs.
