Memory Lane breaks record with sale of Mantle 1952 Topps
A 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card sold for $96,000 ($112,800 wth the buyer’s premium) Sunday in Memory Lane’s Spring Fever Rarities Auction, setting what could be a new record price for a PSA 8 graded ’52 Mantle specimen. A PSA 9 ’52 Mantle for fetched a whopping $282,587 in 2007. Other highlights of the auction included a 1951 Bowman Willie Mays card graded PSA 9, which brought $85,775, and a PSA 8 Babe Ruth signed baseball, which sold for $81,075.
