Kobe Bryant’s final NBA road uniform tops $400K at SCP Auctions

The Los Angeles Lakers jersey that Kobe Bryant wore in his final NBA road game sold for nearly $500,000 in the Fall Premier Auction at SCP Auctions.

The uniform Kobe Bryant wore in the final road game of his career sold for nearly $500,000 in the Fall Premier Auction at SCP Auctions.

The auction netted nearly $3 million in sales, including five items that exceeded six figures.

The Kobe uniform sold for $485,197, with the photo-matched uniform going for $366,967 and Kobe’s sneakers bringing another $118,230.

The auction also included the historic match-used and photo-matched racquet from Novak Djokovic’s 2016 French Open Grand Slam victory selling for $107,482, the highest price ever for a match-used tennis racquet.

The auction also included some solid vintage card results, including a PSA 6 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle for $188,310; a 1902-11 Sporting Life Cabinets John “Hans” Wagner (PSA 5) brought $87,846; and a 1911 M116 Sporting Life Hans Wagner (PSA NM-MT 8) for $82,864.

The auction also featured part one of the best collection of Pete Rose cards ever offered publicly. The first portion of the second-ranked Pete Rose master set from the PSA Set Registry brought in a combined $335,336. Multiple cards in the collection set records, including: a 1973 Topps PSA 10 for $34,621; a 1971 Topps PSA 9 for $26,896; and a 1974 Topps PSA 10 for $17,762.

Several items from Christian Laettner’s personal collection also sold, including his 1992 NCAA championship ring for $59,135; his 1991 NCAA championship ring for $20,035; and his blue uniform from the 1992 Dream Team for $20,035.

Other significant game-used memorabilia included: a Michael Jordan rookie game-worn jersey for $100,266; a game-used ball from Kobe’s 61-point game at Madison Square Garden for $66,632; and a 2022 LeBron James gamer for $55,152.

• 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle (PSA VG-EX 4) $70,745

• 2000 LeBron James (Freshman Year) Ohio H.S. D-III Championship game-worn, signed and photo-matched Jordan Brand Shoes $70,156.

1984-85 Star Basketball #101 Michael Jordan XRC (PSA NM-MT 8) $68,482.

• Babe Ruth autographed 1926-29 Exhibit Postcard (PSA GD 2, PSA/DNA 7 Auto) $60,667.

• 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle (PSA VG 3) $50,137.

• 2007-08 Kobe Bryant L.A. Lakers game-worn home shooting shirt photo-matched only Kobe's only MVP season $45,578.

• 1951 Bowman #253 Mickey Mantle Rookie (PSA EX-MT 6) $45,510

• 1996 Kobe Bryant Lower Merion H.S. lot of 33 original negatives and photos from his senior year photoshoot $42,955.

• 1972 Topps #559 Pete Rose (PSA Gem Mint 10) $37,610.
