Visitors to the 2010 National Sports Collectors Convention will have an opportunity to see an exhibit of rare Babe Ruth baseball cards and also have an opportunity to receive a free magazine and book from Professional Sports Authenticator (www.PSAcard.com). The show will be held in the Baltimore, Maryland Convention Center, August 4-8, 2010.

"Baltimore is the birthplace of Babe Ruth. PSA will pay tribute to 'The Sultan of Swat' by displaying classic 1930's era Goudey, Sport Kings and U.S. Caramel cards of Ruth as well as seldom-seen 1920s American Caramel and other candy and ice cream Ruth cards from the collection of PSA Set Registry Hall of Fame honoree, Donald E. Spence of Texas," said Joe Orlando, President of PSA, a division of Collectors Universe, Inc.

"For many fans this display will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to personally see a diverse collection of historic Ruth cards beginning with the Boston Red Sox, tracing his legendary career with the New York Yankees and finishing with the Boston Braves."

In conjunction with organizers of the National, the first 5,000 attendees to the show will receive a free copy of the latest edition of Sports Market Report (SMR), PSA's authoritative monthly price guide for trading cards and other sports memorabilia. This special edition of SMR will feature sensational Washington Nationals rookie pitcher, Stephen Strasburg, on the cover and informative articles about collecting cards and memorabilia of Baltimore sports legends such as Eddie Murray, Jim Palmer, Cal Ripken Jr., Brooks Robinson and Johnny Unitas.

Visitors who purchase a VIP admission package will receive a free copy of the acclaimed Collecting Sports Legends, a hardbound, large format book by Orlando that blends career highlights of America's top sports stars from yesteryear to today with some of the hobby's best memorabilia related to them.

Visitors to the PSA booth will have an opportunity to meet in person the authors of the impressive new book, The T206 Collection: The Players & Their Stories. Authors Tom Zappala, Ellen Zappala and Lou Blasi will sign autographs on Saturday, August 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. To mark the 100th anniversary of the famous T206 set, one of the renowned Honus Wagner cards will be displayed at the booth.

PSA will offer on-site grading, and PSA/DNA Authentication Services autograph experts will be available to examine and certify previously-signed autographs. Customer Service Representatives will be at the booth to answer questions and accept submissions for all levels of PSA and PSA/DNA services.
