Fanatics Live launches new breaking experience featuring modern baseball card packs
With baseball’s Opening Day just two weeks away, Fanatics Live is offering a new way for collectors and breaking enthusiasts to acquire new modern baseball card packs.
Fanatics Live has introduced Instant Rips, a new breaking experience that allows breakers and card sellers to host “gamified” breaks and rip packs digitally within their collecting communities.
The first Instant Rips drop will feature repacks of curated, modern baseball packs that Fanatics says are 100 percent authenticated and verified. Over the next few months, Fanatics Live will expand the selection of Instant Rips offerings, making additional packs available across different sports and categories.
While the Instant Rips experience is a digital break similar to traditional breaks, the cards are physical packs of cards with digital “twins” for streams.

With Instant Rips, Fanatics Live is working to create a seamless, transparent repack experience with processes in place to protect against the type of breaking scams that have plagued the hobby in recent months.
With Instant Hits, cards are pulled live with in-stream reveal animations. Instant Vaulting allows collectors to safely receive their cards instantly in the Fanatics Vault.
Instant Listing allows collectors to sell their cards by instantly listing them on the Fanatics Collect marketplace. Fanatics has integrated Card Ladder data on Fanatics Collect to assign real-time market values for cards, ensuring transparency in the process.
Instant Retrieval allows collectors to have their physical card shipped to them at any time, while Instant Replays features instant replays so collectors can relieve their biggest hits and in-stream moments anytime they want.
Select breakers will be hosting giveaway Instant Rips shows starting Tuesday, March 11 at 6 p.m. ET. The first official break of the first “Odyssey” packs will start on Thursday, March 13 at 6:45 p.m. ET.
Odyssey will feature 1,000 packs with one card per pack. Packs will be available for $250 each.
