Highly-ranked complete sets, rare vintage cards highlight Mile High Summer Auction

Mile High Card Co. is heading to the National Sports Collectors Convention with a spectacular allotment of rare vintage cards and some of the finest complete sets in the hobby to display.

Mile High’s Summer Auction, which runs from July 18-Aug. 6, features several impressive complete sets ranked in the top five on the respective PSA Set Registries, as well as rare vintage cards of such hobby heroes as Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Ty Cobb, Shoeless Joe Jackson, Walter Johnson, Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays.

Some of the complete sets, which range from 1909-1975, will be broken up and sold to the highest bidder either as singles or as a complete set, depending on the sale price.

Among the highly-ranked sets are:

Among the nearly 2,600 lots is also some high-end sports memorabilia, including a Babe Ruth-signed home run ticket and game-used items from Ted Williams, Sandy Koufax, Frank Chance, Rogers Hornsby and Julius Erving.

Many items in the auction will be on display at the Mile High booths (741/840) at The National July 27-31 in Atlantic City. The company also will be accepting consignments at The National.
