Stolen: John Cappelletti’s Heisman Anniversary Ring, Other Sports Memorabilia

If you seen collectibles related to former Heisman winner John Cappelletti, let it be kknown they are stolen and he wants them back.
The former Los Angeles Rams running back is pleading with the public to help find his stolen NFL and college memorabilia, including an anniversary ring for winning the Heisman Trophy while playing at Penn State.
Items were stolen from Cappelletti’s Laguna Niguel home that totaled at least $50,000, including jewelry and sports memorabilia, the 25-year anniversary Heisman ring, 1973 National Championship ring from Penn State, 1972 Cotton Bowl watch, 1974 Orange Bowl watch and a 1979 L.A. Rams NFC Championship ring among them. Investigators said they believe the break-in occurred Jan. 20.
Cappelletti, who played professional football with the then-Los Angeles Rams and the San Diego Chargers, won Penn State's only Heisman Trophy in 1973. He played under the late Joe Paterno. The former running back donated the trophy to the university's All Sports Museum.
