Hulk Hogan wrestling boots sell for $1 million at Heritage
Legendary professional wrestler Hulk Hogan put WWE on the sports entertainment map when he headlined WrestleMania I at Madison Square Garden in March 1985.
Hogan, the WWF World Heavyweight champion at the time, teamed with actor and celebrity Mr. T to defeat “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff in the main event. Hogan wore his familiar red and yellow costume during the match, capped by his iconic yellow boots.
The boots, a key part of Hogan’s trademark look and character throughout his WWE career, just sold $1,037,000 in the Winter Platinum Night Sports Auction at Heritage Auctions.

The sale was a record for wrestling memorabilia and the first wrestling item to top $1 million. The same pair sold for $66,000 in 2023.
The boots were photo-matched to WrestleMania 1 and feature an autograph and inscription providing further authentication: ”These are my real boots with my real blood on them from MSG, Hulk Hogan.”
The boots, which show heavy wear inside and outside, came with additional LOAs from Heritage and PSA/DNA.
Several other Hogan items also sold during the auction, including original ticket stubs from WrestleMania 1985 and 1987 and a complete set of 1982 Wrestling All-Stars cards.
