Chase is on for 2025 MLB Rookie Debut Patch cards with Topps Chrome Update release
After a 2024 Paul Skenes rookie fetched $1.1 million earlier this year, the chase is on for Topps 2026 MLB Rookie Debut Patch Auto cards.
The rookie cards hit the market Wednesday, Dec. 10 with the release of the 2025 Topps Chrome Baseball Update Series.

Skenes’ 2024 MLB Rookie Debut Patch card was pulled last Christmas and auctioned in early January for $1.1 million. Other MLB Debut Patch cards sold for five figures.
Each #1/1 MLB Rookie Debut Patch Auto features an on-card autograph and the MLB debut patch worn in the player’s first MLB game. This year’s rookie lineup includes players who debuted between May, 25 2024 and May, 27 2025, including such young stars as James Wood, Dylan Crews, Marcelo Mayer, Roki Sasaki, and Nick Kurtz.
Other notables include: Jacob Wilson, Cam Smith, Daulton Rushing, Drake Baldwin, and Cade Horton.
Other set highlights include:
• Gold Logoman of 2024 AL Rookie of the Year Luis Gil. Gil’s Gold Logoman Relic, Auto Relic, ROY Gold Logoman Dual Relics, and Dual Auto will be inserted in Chrome Update. The cards feature the authentic Gold Logoman patches from the jerseys he wore in the 2025 season following his 2024 ROY win.
• Mickey & Friends: After debuting in Disney Chrome, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy are featured in their away jerseys. Each year, the three Disney icons appear in MLB uniforms, rotating divisions across three years and creating unique chase cards. The 2025 lineup includes:
Mickey Mouse: AL & NL West.
Goofy: AL & NL East.
Donald Duck: AL & NL Central.
