Starting this fall, puck fans can look for 2013 Upper Deck Team Canada Hockey cards featuring the largest assortment of Team Canada players ever to appear in a trading card set. This release includes 230 base cards and will be similar to the Upper Deck Hockey base brand, and will maintain the same wallet-friendly price point of just $2.99 per pack. With two or more autographs per box and a bevy of awesome inserts, this product is sure to be a hit with Team Canada fans and collectors.

The deal also gives Upper Deck the opportunity to develop premium Team Canada autographed memorabilia items. The Upper Deck Authenticated team is already hard at work creating an impressive assortment of signed collectibles from some of the top Team Canada players. These pieces are sure to be the main focus of conversation wherever they are displayed.

“We couldn’t be happier to continue our relationship with Upper Deck,” said Mike Ross, chief business officer for Hockey Canada. “We have enjoyed seeing how they are working to grow the hockey market through programs like National Hockey Card Day and we believe Canadians everywhere will enjoy the new line of collectibles they produce for Canada’s National Team.”

Upper Deck Team Canada Hockey product will be exclusive to retailers in Canada, although fans outside of Canada will be able to find Hockey Canada content within other Upper Deck hockey releases throughout this season and beyond. Additionally, high-end collectors should be on the lookout for some amazing premium releases for the national team as well. More details on these products will be coming.

“We have enjoyed a great relationship with Hockey Canada and are very happy to bring Canadian hockey fans collectibles and trading cards featuring players from their beloved national team,” said Jason Masherah, president of Upper Deck. “Fans can expect Upper Deck to branch out by creating some compelling trading card releases for Hockey Canada in the future, while continuing to deliver meaningful content to existing hockey and multi-sport products.”
