Fanatics just made the race for the 2025 AL and NL Rookie of the Year awards a lot more interesting for baseball fans and card collectors.

If collectors pick up a box of Bowman Baseball cards when they hit hobby shops and retail outlets on May 7, it could pay off big—both now and down the road.

Fanatics has unveiled a new Bowman Red Rookie Redemption card program that will pay collectors cash if they pull a rookie card of one of the ROY winners from a pack of Bowman Baseball.

Topps

The program was announced Tuesday by Fanatics Collectibles CEO Mike Mahan at the Topps Industry Conference in Atlanta.

Washington Nationals outfielder Dylan Crews was the early rookie favorite in the National League, while AL favorites include Red Sox infield Kristian Campbell, Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez, A’s infielder Jacob Wilson, and pitchers Jackson Jobe, Jack Leiter and Kumar Rocker.

The Bowman Red Rookie Redemption program debuts with the May 7 launch of 2025 Bowman Baseball, which is heavy on prospects and rookie cards. New Red RC logos will be stamped onto a limited number of base rookie cards—and randomly inserted into all Bowman products.

Once the Rookie of the Year awards are announced in November, collectors holding that player’s Red RC can redeem that card for $100 in Fanatics FanCash through March 31, 2026. If they decide to hold onto the card and that player goes on to win an MVP or Cy Young award, the card can be redeemed for $300 in Fanatics FanCash.

How about two MVPs or Cy Youngs? Try $500. Three? $700! If your Red RC goes onto the Hall of Fame within 10 years of retirement, that’s $1,000. If a player wins Rookie of the Year and MVP or Cy Young in the same season, the redemption rewards will be combined, meaning a collector would receive $400 in FanCash upon successful submission.

Starting in November, Fanatics FanCash can be used for team gear, live breaks on Fanatics Live, hobby boxes or singles, or at auctions at Fanatics Collect. To redeem cards collectors must create or log into their Fanatics Collect account, then ship their eligible card following submission instructions. FanCash will be deposited into this account.

Each Collect account can redeem up to 50 eligible cards per open redemption period.
