Sports auction houses have their specialties. Some only deal in graded cards, others are geared toward a certain sport. And yet others focus on game-used memorabilia.

Other auction houses will offer a lineup of great vintage cards, some game-used pieces and then slide in some memorabilia you won't find anywhere else. The latter is the modus operandi of Lelands, and the company's current auction is now live at, with an ending date of June 24.

In this auction, collectors will find baseball trophies dating back to 1867, turn-of-the-century photographs, championship rings and the usual quality lineup of autographs, game-used pieces and graded cards.

Baseball memorabilia
The auction kicks off with a wide-ranging selection of vintage baseball memorabilia, including numerous 19th and early 20th century trophies. Some examples are an 1867 Atlantics Trophy pitcher; an 1880s baseball trophy by Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co.; and a collection of seven 1900s collegiate trophy balls that feature Holy Cross and Colby Tufts and more. This section also includes figurines (with numerous Hartland statues being offered), vintage scorecards, old advertising signs and testimonial programs – one featuring Christy Mathewson.

Lelands’ game-used selection is fantastic, with jerseys off the backs of Harmon Killebrew (1961 Twins home jersey), Nolan Ryan (signed, 1970 Mets road flannel), 1969 Don Drysdale (L.A. Game-used bats in the auction include samples used by Jimmie Foxx (1939), Ted Williams (1960), Hank Aaron (1973-75), Pete Rose (for hit No. 4,255) and Stan Musial (1962 All-Star game).

Sal LaRocca Collection
The Lelands sale will also feature 74 items from the Sal LaRocca Collection, which features some amazing Brooklyn Dodgers collectibles. Heading that list is a 1952 Preacher Roe game-used home jersey, with the pitcher’s signature on the inside collar.

There is also a lot of seven Brooklyn Dodgers players signed contracts from the 1940s and ’50s that includes Ralph Branca, Carl Furillo and Carl Erskine. Another lot has more than 30 Brooklyn player contracts from the 1930s.

Other Dodger notables include a 1977 Los Angeles Dodgers National League Championship ring, Gil Hodges game-worn jacket, 1981 Dodgers Championship ring and numerous items related to Jackie Robinson.
