A collection of rare memorabilia from the personal collection of Hall of Famer Andre Dawson, including his 1987 N.L. MVP Award, 1982 Gold Glove Award, his final career HR baseball and more, are up for bids in the 2015 Goldin Auctions Summer Auction.
Five of the marquee items will be sold during a Premium Live Auction on July 31, during the National Sports Collector's Convention in Chicago, while the other 13 lots will be up for bids from early July through August 8, online at www.GoldinAuctions.com.
"During his remarkable 21-year career, 'The Hawk' was a fan favorite and one of the most respected players in baseball. He has fans all across the U.S., but it's fitting that the live auction will take place in Chicago, the city in which he evolved from a great young player into an MVP and a Hall of Famer," said Ken Goldin, founder of Goldin Auctions. "His MVP Award is one of the most historic ever, as it was presented after his first season with the Cubs, one in which he agreed to play for whatever the Cubs would pay him."
The 18-lot Andre Dawson Collection will offer the following items:
– 1987 N.L. MVP Award
