American Memorabilia has Beatles signed baseball

One of three known Beatles-signed baseballs will be the key item in American Memorabilia's March 16 auction. The ball was signed in 1966 and comes directly from Senators pitcher Mike McCormick. While the previous two Beatles signed balls sold in the $40,000 neighborhood, this one is expected to generate approximately $50,000 (minimum bid $5,000). The auction will go live on www.americanmemorabilia.com in early March.

Another signed baseball is also sure to generate plenty of bidding. That being a 1933 All-Star ball signed by the entire American League team (also shown, far right), with Babe Ruth on the sweet spot, a perfect Jimmie Foxx (MVP of that game) signature, Lou Gehrig, Al Simmons, Connie Mack, Joe Cronin, Heinie Manush, Mickey Cochrane, Lefty Grove, Luke Appling and more. There are also single-signed baseballs from Grover Cleveland Alexander, Gabby Hartnett and Chief Bender available.

Leading the way for game-used items, there will be a Roger Clemens game-used, signed first Yankees glove from 1999 with a photo match is also available. There is also 1973-74 Al Kaline game-used bat given to a bat boy and graded PSA 7.

Other headlining baseball items that will be available in this auction include: Mike Schmidt's last home game jersey from 1987 (shown); a Pete Rose game-worn jacket with "World Champions" embroidered on the front with a photo match; Ty Cobb signed postcard graded PSA 9; 1960s Al Kaline game-worn, signed fiberglass helmet; and a Babe Ruth signed check graded PSA 9.

As part of an agreement with Image Sports & Entertainment, American Memorabilia has exclusive rights to market Peyton Manning's 2004 record-setting jerseys. In this auction there is a signed, game-worn home jersey from Oct. 24, 2004 that's inscribed "2004 MVP" and
"49 TDs."

Other key football jerseys include: Fran Tarkenton's game-worn, signed home Giants jersey and a Jerome Bettis 1997 Steelers black signed, game-worn jersey.

Other key sports items include: a pair of 1985-86 Michael Jordan game-worn original Air Jordan Nike shoes; a Pete Maravich signed basketball that has been graded PSA 9; and a Pele game-worn jersey.
Top entertainment items include: an Abraham Lincoln signed document with his full-name signature; a "Three Stooges" Shemp Howard signed check graded PSA 9; a Bob Dylan signed, inscribed "Best Wishes" 8-by-10 photo; a Lynyrd Skynard 8-by-10 promo photo signed by the entire band; an Eddie Vedder signed lot that includes hand-written lyrics, a signed letter and a signed CD cover; an Alexander Cartwright signed document; two costumes from the original "Munsters" television series (Herman and Lilly); a "Mash" T-shirt worn by Alan Alda; and the first issue of Playboy.

Finally, American Memorabilia is working with 1975 All-Star Game MVP and four-time batting leader Bill Madlock to auction parts of his collection. Madlock's 1979 World Series ring and his 1975 All-Star MVP trophy will be available in this auction, with more items available in their April auction.
