Upper Deck offering fans, collectors free card packs during National Hockey Card Day
On the heels of the its wildly successful Four Nations Face-Off tournament, NHL fans are poised for another big treat with the 16th annual National Hockey Card Day (NHCD) on April 5.
A worldwide celebration of trading cards and the collecting community, the event will once again encourage hockey fans around the world to visit their local participating hobby shops to pick up a free pack of hockey trading cards from Upper Deck (one pack per customer per store, while supplies last).
The family- and fan-friendly global event encourages collectors to rip packs with their local hobby shop owners, trade with other fans, and help grow the passionate hockey card community.

This year’s exclusive Upper Deck set includes rookies Macklin Celebrini and Matvei Michov, as well as superstars such as Alex Ovechkin and Connor McDavid, along with legends such as Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux (full checklist here). Fans are encouraged to trade with fellow collectors to complete the 66-card set of NHL rookies, superstars, legends, and mascots.
Along with their free pack, participants can also receive a special Macklin Celebrini Rookie Moments card with a $10 purchase of Upper Deck products.
Canadian fans can also visit select retailers for exclusive, free nine-card sheets.
Upper Deck encourages friends and family to enjoy the day-long activity at their favorite hobby shops, while also visiting new ones to help bridge the generational gap between parents and their children with this shared interest.
