New Set Chronicles Entire 2008 MLB Season
Upper Deck is offering another challenge for set collectors.
After offering a 6,661-card insert set chronicling every game ever played at Yankee Stadium, Upper Deck is now rolling out a 4,890-card set documenting every game of the 2008 MLB season.
Upper Deck Documentary Baseball arrives in hobby stores the week of Dec. 15, and it features one card for every game played this past season. Within the set are 163 cards (featuring all 162 games and one season highlight or one-game playoff card) for each of MLB’s 30 teams, giving collectors the option of building a full base set or a complete team set. Each of the game cards includes that game’s box score on the card back, as well as the Division standings at the time of the game in question.
The product also features a gold parallel version (one per pack), an All-Star Game insert set and one autograph card per 24-pack box. Each pack contains 15 cards.
