Signed Cal Ripken Jr. minor league card, 1912 Fenway Park ticket highlight Huggins & Scott auction

A Cal Ripken Jr. minor league card recently sold for $69,000. An autographed version of the same card is now up for bid.

A 1980 Charlotte O's Police Orange Border Cal Ripken Jr. Minor League Rookie card sold for $69,000 at Huggins & Scott’s Auctions in August.

Now Huggins & Scott has an autographed example of the same card, graded BGS VG-EX 4 with a 10 auto, up for bid in its Fall auction.

The auction, which features nearly 2,200 lots of vintage sports and non-sports collectibles, opened Nov. 21 and runs through Dec. 5.

The auction also includes a rare ticket stub and program from Opening Day at Fenway Park on April 20, 1912, the first game ever played at the iconic Red Sox ballpark. The ticket stub, graded PSA 1, is one of only three known to exist, while the scored program is the only known example.

Game-used memorabilia in the auction includes a 1978 Pete Rose Cincinnati Reds game-used home jersey graded A9.5 by MEARS, and a game-used Spalding catcher’s mask worn by Hall of Famer and Yankee legend Yogi Berra in 1958.
