PSA’s most graded sports cards, athletes of 2024

NBA star Victor Wembanyama is not only one of the biggest (literally) rising stars in the NBA, but he is one of the fastest-rising stars in the sports world and the sports collectibles hobby.

In just two short years, Wemby’s sports cards are among the most popular and coveted in the hobby. More cards of the San Antonio Spurs’ 7-3 center were graded by PSA in 2024 than of any other athlete in sports.

According to PSA, Wembanyama has four of the top 10 individual cards of 2024 and nearly double the number of cards graded (+91%) versus last year’s No. 1 athlete, Shohei Ohtani.

The rise of women’s sports and female athletes among collectors was also a big trend this year. WNBA star Caitlin Clark was one of the top 10 most-collected basketball players in 2024, the first time a female athlete has ever made the list.
