Jake Long, the No. 1 pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, will be among more than 30 NFL rookies scheduled to appear at this weekend’s Reebok NFL Players Rookie Premiere presented by EA Sports and hosted by NFL Players.

Along with Long, each of the top five picks will be attendance, including Chris Long (No. 2), Matt Ryan (No. 3), Darren McFadden (No. 4) and Glenn Dorsey (No. 5). Other first-rounders expected to be present include Joe Flacco, Chris Johnson, Felix Jones, Dustin Keller, Rashard Mendenhall and Jonathan Stewart.

“It’s a pleasure for us to host the debut of this year’s rookie class,” said Karen Bush, assistant VP for trading cards and collectibles of NFL Players Inc. “The Rookie Premiere is a highly anticipated event for rookies, industry veterans and the trading card companies. The players will put on their official team uniforms for the first time and see the images of their first trading cards in uniform.”

Donruss, Topps and Upper Deck will conduct photo shoots at the Los Angeles Coliseum during the weekend. In addition, Beverly Hills Baseball Cards will host DeSean Jackson (California/Philadelphia Eagles WR) and Kevin O'Connell (San Diego St./New England QB) on Thursday.

Other events involving players include a youth football clinic for more than 150 middle-school students and the EA Sports Rookie Madden Bowl video game competition. The entire week’s events will be filmed for a one-hour TV special to air on the NFL Network this summer.
