Topps Names New Vice President of Digital Operations
Topps has announced the appointment of Michael Bramlage as Vice President, Digital, effective immediately. In his new role, Bramlage will be responsible for overseeing and developing the company’s digital strategy. He will report directly to Topps CEO and President Ryan O’Hara.
Bramlage comes to Topps from the Nokia Corp., where he served as Director, Head of Product and was responsible for leading planning, desig, and development for Nokia’s Ovi Store, the world’s third-largest mobile application storefront.
While at Nokia, Bramlage managed the full product lifecycle, delivering more than 10 major product releases and in just two years growing the business to tens of millions of users and more than 6 million downloads each day.
“Michael’s terrific background in the mobile, Internet and social spaces combined with his innovation bent and strategies for developing online content makes him an ideal fit at Topps,” O’Hara said. “We’re excited for Michael to join Topps and take us to the next level in delivering our consumers new and innovative experiences.”
Before joining Nokia in 2009, Bramlage spent six years at Microsoft in a variety of product roles. Most notably, Bramlage guided product strategy for Windows Live Messenger, then the world’s largest instant messaging service. During this period, Bramlage was instrumental in the development of the industry’s first instant messaging interoperability partnership with Yahoo! as well as the completion of important data portability agreements with Facebook, Hi5, and LinkedIn.
Bramlage has a BS in business administration from University of Michigan, Ross School of Business.
