Iconic Hulk Hogan wrestling boots up for bid at Goldin
When WWE legend Hulk Hogan showed up at the 2021 National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago, a buzz surrounded the autograph pavilion at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.
Accompanied by fellow wrestling legend Ric Flair, Hogan signed autographs and posed for photos for thousands of fans — the largest crowd for any athlete during the five-day event.
Hogan signed an array of wrestling memorabilia, from photos and posters to action figures and championship belts and even one of his famous yellow wrestling boots.
2023 National Schedule: Everything you need to know
A pair of Hogan’s legendary footwear is now up for bid in the July National Elite Auction at Goldin Co.
The ring-worn boots are photo-matched to a WWE match at Madison Square Garden against WWE legend Andre The Giant.
They are even stained with Hogan’s blood and inscribed by the 12-time World Champion and wrestling Hall of Famer. Blood stains are on the outside and inner lining and Hogan’s inscription reads: “These are my real boots with my real blood on them from msg.”
“These are the real deal, brother,” Hogan says in a video about the boots. “I signed these for a buddy of mine. The last time I had these boots on I wore them in Madison Square Garden and they were covered with Andre’s blood. These are for real, brother.”
The custom-made leather boots, which have a current bid of $10,000, also bear the stress, stains and scuffs of Hulkamania. The toes exhibit wear from Hogan toeing the mat during his epic matches, while the ankles are well broken in with creases from numerous bouts.
The boots are photo-matched by Resolution Photomatching to an undated image from a WWF “HulkaMania” workout poster. They are also authenticated by PSA/DNA.
The Goldin auction also features multiple Hogan trading cards, including a signed 1985 Topps WWF card graded PSA 10 and a signed 1982 Wrestling All-Stars rookie card.
