It's officially golf season for collectors, as Upper Deck has released 2014 SP Authentic Golf. Fans cracking open boxes of the product will have the first opportunity to score hard-signed autograph rookie cards of some incredibly popular players like Rory McIlroy, Michelle Wie, Graeme McDowell, Cheyenne Woods and more! With three hard-signed signature cards in every box on average, golf collectors will also be thrilled to find autograph cards from some of the biggest names to ever play the game like Tiger Woods, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and many more.

“Upper Deck really created the golf trading card category back in 2001 when the company debuted the Tiger Woods rookie card,” said Josh Zusman, Upper Deck’s golf brand manager. “While there certainly have been many great golf rookie cards issued by Upper Deck between 2001 and today, the release of 2014 SP Authentic Golf provides fans possibly one of the richest mixes of future talent ever. Collectors have an incredible opportunity to get the first-ever cards of players who have already captured major championships and hoisted trophies across the globe. The anticipation for the release of 2014 SP Authentic Golf has been palpable, and fans will not be disappointed at what they find in packs.”

So deep is the rookie content in 2014 SP Authentic Golf that Upper Deck has added a 25-card “Rookie Extended Series” numbered R1-R25 to give fans even more opportunities to capture their favorite rookie stars.

Upper Deck has created a new “Authentic Moments” insert series which chronicles magical moments from prior tournaments that helped make these players who they are today. Rare signed versions of these cards have been autographed with a stunning gold paint pen. Also look for special multi-signed versions from a bevy of golf greats.

Nothing gets fans closer to the game than an actual piece of event-worn memorabilia from the player. In 2014 SP Authentic Golf collectors can find limited signed swatch cards featuring not only an autograph of the player depicted, but an actual swatch of a polo shirt from that athlete as well.
