Hockey memorabilia highlight Upper Deck’s latest
The SP Game Used Hockey presented by Upper Deck returns with an abundance of limited-edition memorabilia in the 2019-20 version.
Numerous cards featuring jerseys, patches, pucks, sticks, gloves, and net cord from NHL events such as the Global Series, Winter Classic, All-Star Game/Skills Competition and the Stanley Cup Final are highlighted in this release set for Jan. 22.
Showcase Standouts (with autograph parallels) is a new insert featuring one-of-a-kind jersey and patch cards. Supreme Patches, along with gloves, sticks, skates and pads, feature a selection of the game’s top stars accompanied by extra-large swatches of super-premium, game-used material.
The 100-card base set of Authentic Rookies consists of the best young talent in the game today, including some members of the 2019-20 rookie class, and each card is serial numbered to each player’s jersey number.
Game-used Pucks, 2019 Winter Classic is a 31-card set featuring only players and pucks that touched the ice at one of the six marquee NHL events. Net Cord, 2019 Stanley Cup Finals (Game 7) is a compelling set of cards boasting actual net cord from four different NHL events, including Game 7 of the 2019 Cup Final.
Frameworks is a 30-card set featuring a unique display of large jersey swatches from today’s top stars and yesterday’s greats.
Letterman Cards, Draft Day Marks allows collectors to build the full nameplate for the player’s last name, such as MAKAR for Colorado’s Cale Makar. They are dominated by rookies, including some of the young stars taken in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, and they are numbered to 35 per letter. Veterans are numbered to 10.
Banner Year is a returning autograph set with serial numbered cards featuring actual banner swatches from NHL events. Other things to look for are A Piece of History, Draft Swag, Frameworks, Locker Essential Jersey, Locker Essential Patch, Rookie Sweaters, Showcase Standout Jersey, Showcase Standout Patch and Tools of the Game, along with a one-of-one Tonight’s Lineup, a new insert of an actual portion of the official NHL lineup card.
The configuration is six cards per pack, one pack per box and 20 boxes per case with the hobby box break average of one autograph or premium memorabilia card and three additional autograph or relic cards.
