End of football season doesn’t mean the end of football card releases

2016 Select Football

Panini America’s Select Football franchise benefits from the technology, many of the same parallel colors and some of the same players as its Optichrome-enhanced Prizm Football family member. But the real allure of Select Football always has been that it still manages to stand on its own merits as a part of any collecting season. That promises to be the case once again when 2016 Select Football arrives in hobby shops in late February.

This year’s iteration includes a 300-card base set featuring three unique subsets: Concourse, Premier and Field Level, printed in varying degrees of scarcity and each with a unique set of colored parallels to chase. On average, each box (five cards per pack, 12 packs per box) will deliver two autographs, one memorabilia card and 14 Prizm parallels (including at least three numbered).

The highlights of the product include:
• Jumbo memorabilia content honoring the top 2016 NFL rookies, including NFL Shields, Nike Logos, Nameplates, Laundry Tags and prime patches.
• Autograph memorabilia cards of the top 2016 rookies in Rookie Autographed Materials and Jumbo Rookie Signature Swatches numbered to 99 or less.
• Autograph memorabilia cards featuring more than 50 veterans and retired NFL stars.
• Find XRCs for the 2017 NFL Rookie Class seeded one per box.
• Chase autographed memorabilia cards of the 2016 Rookie Class, #’d to 99 or less.
• Multiple parallel color variations include Copper, Purple, Orange, Tie-Dye, Gold and Black.

2017 Panini Elite Draft Picks Collegiate Fooball

The transformation of Panini America’s Elite franchise debuted with Elite Football earlier this season, and continued with the recent release of Elite Extra Edition Baseball. In March, the transformation will turn its attention to the collegiate ranks to kickoff the 2017 collecting season with the all-new 2017 Elite Draft Picks Collegiate Football.

Aesthetically, 2017 Elite Collegiate Draft Picks Football picks up where 2016 Elite Football left off. The product will deliver the first licensed trading cards and autographs of the 2017 NFL Draft Class while also focusing on some of the greatest players in college football history.

Set to arrive in hobby shops across North America on March 15, Elite Draft Picks Collegiate Football features hobby boxes (15 cards per pack, five packs per box) that deliver, on average, 30 base cards, 30 Draft Picks, five autographs, five inserts, two base parallels and two Draft Picks parallels.

Additional highlights include:
• An extensive checklist with rookies, rookies and more rookies from the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft, including autograph versions numbered from 99 all the way down to only one.
• Signature inserts include College Ties Autographs, Alma Mater Autographs and the legendary Passing the Torch Autographs.
• Hobby-exclusive College Ties Autographs features autographs pairing two rookie collegiate teammates or two players from the same alma mater.
• A base set that captures all of the top NFL stars in their college uniforms.
• Passing the Torch Autographs returns to college providing high-profile signature combinations from past college greats.
• Hobby-exclusive Alma Mater Autographs is a 15-card autograph insert loaded with College and Pro Football Hall of Famers.
• The colorful Aspirations parallel featuring Purple, Red, Blue, Gold, Emerald and Teal.
Six Die-Cut Status parallels numbered from 99 to only one.
