Set of Derek Jeter cards coming from Topps
2020 Topps Transcendent The Captain’s Collection
Former New York Yankees star Derek Jeter, also known as The Captain, is deserving of his own set of baseball cards, and Topps is obliging with The Captain’s Collection from the Transcendent Collection.
Only 40 boxes are being made available of the set that highlights the most notable moments in Jeter’s storied 20-year career with the Yankees.
Each box contains a 40-card complete set, six “The Captain’s Career” autographs numbered to 3 or less, one 3,000 Hits Autograph numbered 1-of-1, five Final Season Autographed Relic Cards numbered to 3 or less, one Autographed Patch Card numbered 1-of-1, one Autographed Derek Jeter RC Buyback numbered to 40, and a VIP Event Invitation to a future event with Jeter appearing as the special guest.
The 3,000 Hits Autographs features key milestones en route to 3,000 hits and cards will be signed directly on-card with a wood frame and encased.
The Final Season Autographed Relic Cards feature single relic pieces from select game-used bats, cleats, wristbands, field gloves and more. The Final Season Autographed Dual Relic Cards feature game-used relics from batting gloves and bats.
Final Season Autographed Triple Relic Cards feature three game-used relic pieces. The Final Season Autographed Quad Relic Cards feature four game-used relic pieces. And the Autograph Patch Card comes with 40 different cards featuring on-card autographs and player-worn uniform patch jumbo relics.
The release date was set for Sept. 9.
2019-20 Panini Illusions Basketball
Panini debuts the hoops version of Illusions with hobby direct and retail boxes featuring 150 veterans and 50 rookies in a 200-card base set.
Fantasy Matchups duals, Illumination, Rookie Vision, Astounding Clear Shots, Shining Stars, Career Lineage, Instant Impact, Rookie Reflections duals, and Season Highlights are among the inserts and parallels.
Autographs come in various forms, including Draft Night Signatures, First Impressions Jersey Autographs, Superlative Signatures, Rookie Signs and Trophy Collection Signatures.
The hobby box break average is one autograph, 14 base parallels, eight inserts (or parallels) and five acetate (or parallels). The hobby configuration is six cards per pack, 14 packs per box and 12 boxes per case. The release was scheduled for Aug. 5.
2019-20 SP Hockey Cards
The Upper Deck brand features top rookie names in the 2019-20 NHL season found in Blaster boxes and Hanger packs.
Like the previous set, you’ll find 100 base cards. SP Rookie Authentics subset adds another 40 cards. The short-printed rookie cards are numbered to 1,199 copies. Base cards and rookies come as Blue parallels in every pack. The main insert is Authentic Profiles (20 cards, #/649).
Look for SP Rookie Authentics Signatures (1:100), SP Authentic Signatures (1:280), Authentic Profiles Signatures (1:640), SP Rookie Authentics Jersey (1:18) and SP Authentic Profiles Jersey (1:120).
The hanger configuration is five cards per pack, three packs per box, 72 packs per case. The blaster configuration is five cards per pack, eight packs per box and 20 boxes per case. It is newly released.
2020 Donruss Optic Baseball
Highlights Signatures is an on-card autograph set that features highlights from some of the game’s biggest stars like Juan Soto, Aaron Judge and more. Find on-card autographs from top rookies and prospects, featuring Yordan Alvarez, Gavin Lux, Bo Bichette and more. Look for two ultra-rare inserts in Donruss Optic called Stars and Stripes, and Fort Knox.
There are two autographs per box, on average. Each case will have two autograph hot boxes, which will contain five autos/box, and two Prizm hot boxes, which will contain 20 #’d parallels/box.
The hobby configuration is four cards per pack, 20 packs per box and 12 boxes per case. The release date was July 22.
